Phila Hillie is an architecture graduate, illustrator and visual artist from South Africa.

Her art is inspired by women and interrogates the various ways in which they can be represented and celebrated. Her aim is to tell the stories of as many women as she can as women, their struggles, their beauty and the way in which they live is not monolithic.
Whilst she is still exploring her artistic style, a simple style with very specific and bold colour palettes is evident in the majority of her work.
