Creation is personal
We watched a fashion documentary focused on how what we create comes from a place deep within, a portal that holds our memories, where we come from, what inspires us and everything else that makes us who we are. The film explores the creative and personal process of Urban African designers of the concrete jungle Jozi. The stories told were by the hands that create Mmuso Maxwell, Klipa Denim and Urban Zulu. We were permitted access into their minds and thinking while in a creative state. From moodboards stuck on the wall to how where we live is reflected in garments and to the importance of being African, creation is personal.
