Music videos are important for songs. Visual representation and the art form thereof is an important aspect of not just promoting the music and the artist but also to showcase the level of artistry involved behind the scenes.
Think of Tebogo Malope’s exceptional work on Kwesta’s Spirit or the consistent work that Ofentse Mwase does for artists such as Emtee and Cassper Nyovest.
Music directors are often never given enough credit for their imaginative take on overdone concepts and are able to breathe new life into it. A great music video doesn’t just bring a song to life, often, it lends the song a new one. Check out 5 music directors we reckon you should know about.
