Thapelo Molomo, a member of the South African Police Service (SAPS), has been named the new Idols SA 2022 champion. On Sunday night, the 29-year-old from Mokopane, Limpopo, walked away with the crown as he triumphed against fellow competitor Nozi Sibiya.
Along with the title, Molomo also wins an impressive prize package that includes a Toyota Starlet, a fashion voucher from Truworths, his live show outfits, all worth $100,000, R85,000 in musical equipment from Yamaha, and a recording contract with Kalawa Jazmee Records. The cash prizes total just over R1 million and are made up of R350 000 in a Standard Bank MyMo account, R300 000 from Spotify, and R350,000 from Mzansi Magic.
