One of South Africa’s leading DJs has released a hot new album just in time for the festive season. DBN Gogo‘s latest album, Whats Real, features 12 songs that showcase the artist’s exploration of several musical styles, such as amapiano and house.
The album’s opening track, “Maradebe,” performed by Makhanj and Zadok, sets the mood for the rest of the album with its upbeat amapiano sound. The next single, “Ngeke,” a lively and upbeat amapiano/house hybrid, with Baby S.O.N. & DJ Stopper, is guaranteed to have you moving. Unhurried track “Uyathandeka” with MaWhoo is featured.
Other noteworthy songs on the album include the sensual ballad “Jika” and the club-ready blockbuster “Mdali,” which features guest vocals from Bongi.
