Today, multi award nominee singer/songwriter/producer Evida has returned with a brand-new single “Demons” featuring Rapper/Producer Luna Florentino.
The melancholic yet uplifting pop/hip-hop ballad features Evida’s blend of honest lyrics and clean production with Luna Florentino laying down the verses with the uplifting message of making it against all odds, to be released on 9 July 2021.

Evida (LIAM JONES) is a multi-award nominated producer, singer and songwriter. He describes his sound as “A marriage between Afropop and Eurodance” Originally being a group project, Liam is striking out on his own as his brother and partner chose to focus on his personal life.
Having done many different genres Liam has a plethora influence points from dance to metal core giving him a unique outlook on production as well as performance.
The first track released on his own imprint (Unexpected Records) ‘Back To You’ is currently over 200k streams and has been playlisted on 5 different apple music charting playlists. He has also released a second single as well as multiple remixes on the label.
Evida is no stranger to the South African airwaves. Their remix of Majozi and Tresor’s “The Woods” was notably playlisted on several Stations and was number 1 on the 94.7, 5fm, OFM and Jacaranda charts. With help from the amazing Toon53 created music video the song skyrocketed to success earning them their first SAMA nomination and has a total stream count over 2 million.
Luna Florentino
24-year-old rapper/producer Luna Florentino has been building incredible street and social media hype since he released his debut mixtape in 2016. He proceeded to garner industry co-signs from several industry heads including Thabiso Khati, who is currently the head of Universal Music’s urban music division.
He’s since worked with the likes of multi-platinum selling producer Tweezy, SAMA award-winning rapper Rouge, DJ Switch and Manu WorldStar. Over the last two years, Luna has continued to grow his profile through performances at a number of the biggest festivals across the country, including Maftown Heights, Homecoming and Back To The City, which is the biggest hip hop festival on the continent.
