Viva Sage is a self-taught photographer/visual artist from Soweto, South Africa, currently based in Belgium. His creative work is inspired by the culture of South Africa, hence his designs embrace the colors of the national flag of the land. The artwork he creates is rough around the edges and that is what he likes about his visual work, a diamond in the rough. He finds pattern design as creative freedom. He uses the African narrative to create artwork that values heritage with an intention to preserve old traditions and educate the next generation about its ancestors through art and storytelling.
