Captured moments of more than seven decades of reign
Photographs tell a thousand words about someone’s life. We have lost a King but in his photographs we have gained his life.
This past week saw the loss of the Zulu King, King Goodwill Zwelithini. It was a week of mourning and remembering the life of a person whose life touched the lives of many. Born on the 14th of July 1948 in Nongoma (KZN), Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu was the eldest son of King Cyprian Bhekuzulu with his second wife Queen Thomo. On the 3rd of December 1971, he became the King of amaZulu at his coronation, a traditional ceremony held in his hometown of Nongoma. The King passed away on the 12th of March 2021 and is survived by his wives and children.
