Exciting news for art enthusiasts! USURPA Gallery is set to showcase a group exhibition titled #Don’tLookBack at the upcoming Latitude Art Fair, featuring a lineup of renowned artists in the contemporary African art scene.

Curated as part of RMB Latitudes 2024, #Don’tLookBack challenges the focus on non-figurative art from Africa by Western critics. Embracing a forward-thinking approach, this exhibition aims to celebrate Afro-optimism and the innovation and resilience of contemporary African artists.

  •  Cinthia Sifa Molanga: Whose paintings and mixed-media pieces reflect her Congolese heritage and delve into themes of culture and memory.
  • Sphephelo Mnguni: Who taps  into the human experience with a focus on emotions and interpersonal relationships.
