Imagine watching those zombie movies without the zombies actually looking half-dead and semi-decayed. It just wouldn’t be the same, now would it? That is where the stars of the show come in, the prosthetic and special effects make-up artists.
Today we’re looking at and appreciating the great talent that is Queen Motlatle who is a South African special effects as well as overall make-up artist. As a veteran in this field she has worked on almost all local films as and dramas including Jerusalema, A Million Colours and District 9 just to name a few.
Overseas, Motlalte has worked with the likes of Anthony Anderson as well as Chris Rock of which she toured with for his Kill The Messenger tour.
In addition to all of these achievements and career highs, Motlatle has also studied beauty therapy in South Africa of which she went on to further advance her skills abroad at the Joe Blasco Make-up Artist Training School in Hollywood, USA.
