Sari for Change and Pick n Pay Clothing have joined hands to create a special collection of wrap dresses made from upcycled saris. These dresses are not only beautiful but also help empower unemployed women and promote sustainability.
The dresses, available in a range of stunning colours, can be worn in three different ways, making them versatile and perfect for any style. Each dress is unique, as it is made from a single donated sari that carries its own story and heritage.

There are only 200 of these exclusive dresses available, which are being sold at select Pick n Pay Clothing stores for a special price of R369,99, much lower than their usual retail price of over R1,000.
Rayana Edwards, the founder of Sari for Change, started this project in 2014 to make good use of unwanted saris in her community and to provide skills and employment to unemployed women, many of whom are from Soweto. The project has been a success, with over 15,000 saris repurposed into different garments like jackets, kaftans, and kimonos, which are sold online.
