An album’s cover is more than just an image—it sets the mood, and gives fans a glimpse into the music inside. For From The Hill.  Naledi Modupi has created an illustration for the upcoming album of Charles Webster and Muzi.

The cover features a portrait of Charles Webster and Muzi, the duo behind the album’s first single, Bakulindele. Using warm, earthy tones and bold line work, Naledi brings their personalities to life in a way that feels both modern and timeless.

Naledi’s artwork is detailed yet abstract, with layered textures that reflect the depth of the music. Charles Webster, with his glasses and mustard-coloured cap, appears calm and focused—a fitting image for a producer known for his soulful, emotional sound.

Muzi, on the other hand, bursts with energy, his wide smile and red cap adding a sense of movement and good vibes The contrast between the two artists visually mirrors the fusion of electronic beats and raw vocals that define Bakulindele.

Beneath their portraits sits a small house, nestled on a rugged hill. This is no random choice—it’s a direct reference to Constitution Hill, the historic site where the album was recorded. Once a prison that held political activists like Nelson Mandela.  By placing it on the cover, Naledi ties the music to its setting, reminding us that history and art are always connected.

The green background, textured with subtle patterns, adds another layer of depth. It feels grounded, natural—much like the South African deep house sound that Charles Webster has helped shape over the years.

As From The Hill prepares for its release on August 29, 2025, this cover stands as a spectacularintroduction. It’s fun, it’s meaningful, and just like the music inside, it’s impossible to ignore.
