Boemo’s art explores themes of queer identity, spirituality and the relationship between body and utilitarian objects like pots and vessels. Her work focuses more on the introspection and healing, offering a perspective on wildness and self-discovery.
Selected by an International jury, led by renowned curators from Italy, South Africa and Egypt, Boemo’s art stood out among artists from around the world.The Tomorrows/Today section of the fair focuses on emerging and underrepresented artists, providing a platform for innovative ideas and practices.

The 2024 edition of Tomorrows/Today, titled “Inhabiting the Wild,” reimagined the concept of wildness through artistic expression. Boemo’s art resonated with the theme of unbounding dualities and embracing a free, unconstrained way of living and thinking.
The Investec Cape Town Art Fair attracted over 30,000 visitors, showcasing 115 galleries from 24 countries and featuring 500 artists from diverse backgrounds. Boemo’s recognition with the Tomorrows/Today Prize highlights her artistic journey’s promising trajectory and the profound impact her work is expected to have in the art world.
