Cape Town Furniture Week is coming back, and it’s going to be exciting for anyone who loves design and creativity! From Wednesday, February 19 to Saturday, February 22, 2025, you can enjoy four days filled with exhibitions, pop-up shops, talks, and behind-the-scenes tours. It’s all about celebrating furniture and homeware design.
This year’s theme is “Discover Design in the City.” It touches more on creativity in various spaces around Cape Town. You’ll find showrooms, and special exhibitions in five different areas: Central City, De Waterkant, Kloof Street, Gardens, and East City.

Opening Night (February 19, 5-8 PM): This is the big kickoff! You can walk between venues, check out the latest designs, and meet the makers. Start at the Festival Hub at Church House, where you can have yourself a drink from Babylonstoren and see a main exhibition featuring local studios.
CTFW x VISI Design Prize: This new award celebrates innovative furniture and homeware design. Visit the LEMKUS building to see the shortlisted entries and find out who wins the prize!

Design Talks (February 19, 2-5 PM, Cape Town Club): Listen to top designers and creatives talk about important topics like design, sustainability, and collaboration. Some well-known names like Haldane Martin, Sindiso Khumalo, and Matteo Cibic will be there.
Exhibitions & Pop-Ups: Check out brands like Studio Kalki, Modern Gesture, White Sheep Studio, and Bronze Age as they showcase their latest designs in spaces across the city.

Everyone is welcome! Whether you’re a design student, a professional in the industry, or just someone curious about creative spaces, there’s something for you to enjoy.
