In celebration of their 42nd year
The Durban International Film Festival is one of five festivals presented by the Centre for Creative Arts at the University of Kwazulu-Natal. This week from 22 July – 1 August, the prestigious South African film festival will be celebrating its landmark 42nd year by screening over 130 selected films including students’ films. The festival is a multi-disciplinary hub that values the power and agency vested in the arts to contribute to social change. Host seminars and workshops will be held at the festival to highlight the talent of emerging cinematography in South Africa.

Opening film The Eagle’s Nest will screen from 22 July 6.20 pm.
Closing film Threshold will screen from 31 July 6.30 pm.
