Lesego Seoketsa, a visual artist and the founder of the sustainable brand SEOKEΞTSA, has recently launched the Kia Pikoli capsule collection. This collection is a reflection of her connection to her environment, upbringing and family history.
Inspired by South African indigenous architecture and the colours of the landscape, Seoketsa drew from a small village called Kwa Pikoli to create meaningful designs. The collection aims to honour ancestral lineage and the natural environment, which are at the core of the brand’s ethos.

Seoketsa’s commitment to sustainability and ethical practices is evident in the creation of the garments. She sourced fabrics locally and used traditional, non-synthetic materials known for their longevity.
By hand-making each garment and reusing patterns and water for the fabric, the brand is dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of fashion production. She plans to release only two collections a year to combat overconsumption and minimize waste.
