The collection has references from different natives. It consists of the ‘Me Fie’ pieces, which means ‘home’ in the Akan language deriving from Ghana. Lephoto teamed up with Stephanie Bentum who is a South African artist that specializes in textiles and garment deconstruction, they worked on a two-piece suit with wool patch finishes.

The Wanda Lephoto brand will be celebrating their 5th anniversary later this year. The designer creatively ensembled the number 5 on stripped down football jerseys to translate their fifth-year mark in the industry. Lephoto decided to implement nostalgic detailing with his ‘Old timers’ pants which were popularly worn at kwaito and slow jazz taverns.
The collection was inspired by the late Virgil Abloh’s 3% design rule that encourages designers to incorporate subtle or unexpected elements, typically accounting for the 3% of the overall design to create a sense of intrigue, uniqueness, and disruption. The rule simply emphasises the power of small details and how they can elevate a design to new levels, making it memorable and distinctive.
