What is your favourite part of being an artist?
My favorite part of being an artist is the freedom to communicate emotions and ideas through visual representation. It allows me to express myself authentically and connect with others on a deep emotional level.
How do you choose the theme or subject for your artworks? Are you guided by a particular process?
When choosing the theme or subject for my artwork, I am often guided by my personal experiences, feelings, and observations of the world around me. I draw inspiration from various sources, such as portraiture, botanical, nature and many more. My process involves introspection, research, and experimentation to capture the essence of my chosen theme.
What role do you think art plays in terms of spreading positivity and joy to the world
Art has the power to uplift and inspire people. It can serve as a tool for spreading positivity and joy by invoking emotions, promoting empathy, and providing glimpses of beauty and hope. Art has the ability to transcend language and cultural barriers, making it a universal medium for creating happiness and unity.
If you could send out a message to the world using your art, what message would that be and why would it mean so much to you?
If I could send out a message to the world through my art, it would be one of love and acceptance. I believe that spreading love and accepting others unconditionally can bring about positive change and create a more harmonious society. This message means so much to me because I believe in the power of unity and understanding to make the world a better place for everyone.
How do you incorporate the concepts of hope and faith into your artworks?
I incorporate the concepts of hope and faith into my artwork by using symbolism, vibrant colours, and uplifting imagery. I aim to create artwork that evokes feelings of optimism, resilience, and belief in the betterment of our world. These elements serve as reminders of the importance of hope and faith, even in challenging times.
Are there any artists or art movement that have influenced your work?
There have been many artists and art movements from all over the world that have greatly influenced my work. I am truly grateful for how these movements and artists have shaped my work and motivated me to continue pushing forward.

My advice to aspiring artists who want to spread positivity and joy through their art is to stay true to yourself and your unique vision. Use your art to express your authentic voice and share your perspective with the world. Find inspiration in the things that bring you joy, and let that passion shine through your artwork. Remember that art has the power to touch hearts and make a difference.
If you could collaborate with any artist, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
There are many artists that I could collaborate with, but one that stands out is Philani Luthuli da artist. Philani is a painter, and his paintings are incredibly inspiring. As a fellow painter, I admire how he uses various techniques to capture the essence of his work. Collaborating with him would be a remarkable experience, as we could create mural paintings together in different spaces. Moreover, I thoroughly enjoy working with others, so this collaboration would be a perfect opportunity to combine our skills and create something truly exceptional.
Are there any projects you’re currently working on to close off the year?
Currently, I am working on a series of paintings exploring the theme of interconnectedness and unity. I want to depict the beauty of diversity and the importance of coming together as a global community. Additionally, I am collaborating with a local organization to create murals in public spaces that promote positivity and inspire people to see beauty in their surroundings.
