Exciting news for Johannesburg residents and tourists alike! Construction is in progress in Rosebank, for South Africa’s very first Museum of Illusion. This museum will be offering a one of a kind and engaging experience for visitors.
The Museum of Illusions is a part of the largest private chain of such museums globally, with over 50 museums in operation around the world. These museums can be found in various cities like Dubai, Chicago, New York, Paris, Istanbul, Milan, Shanghai, Cairo, Kuala Lumpur, and Dallas.

The concept of the Museum of Illusions originated in Zagreb, Croatia, back in 2015 and has since captured the attention of people worldwide, with more than 12 million visitors having experienced its wonders so far.
The museum aims to provide visitors with a mix of fun, interactive, and educational experiences that challenge their perceptions, spark creativity, and leave them amazed.
Featuring a wide range of exhibits that make use of optical illusions, visual tricks, and interactive displays, the Museum of Illusions creates a playful environment where things are never quite as they appear to be. It aims to merge entertainment with education, offering what it calls “edutainment” to its visitors.
