Mama is the strong and stylish mom who tries to keep her boys in line while managing the chaos around them. Uncle Zeke is the uncle who claims he was a rap star in Korea, though that’s still up for debate. And then there’s Gogo, the grandmother who always has a trick up her sleeve. Let’s not forget Roach, a fast-talking cockroach who ended up in the Lembwa family’s bin because of one of Garcia’s crazy inventions!
Andre Lembwa, who plays all the characters in the show, is excited about The Lembwas. He describes it as a mix of live-action fun and animated surprises. “It’s proudly South African, with lots of local flavour,” he says. Andre, who was born in Kinshasa, DRC, and moved to South Africa, brings some sort of touch to the characters with his ability to mimic different accents and personalities.
