Comedian, Trevor Noah, has achieved a significant milestone in his career by winning his first Emmy award for ‘Outstanding Talk Series’ with ‘The Daily Show With Trevor Noah.’ The award was presented at the 75th annual Emmy Awards ceremony held at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
After being nominated 17 times over the past five years, Noah’s victory was well-deserved and a long-awaited recognition of his talent and hard work. The ceremony, originally scheduled for September 2023, was postponed due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, and nominees were considered based on their show’s release date between June 1, 2022, and May 31, 2023.
Despite leaving Comedy Central and ‘The Daily Show’ in September 2022 after seven successful seasons, Trevor’s show still qualified him for the nomination. In his category, he triumphed over ;ate-night heavyweights Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, Stephen Colbert, and even his predecessor, Jon Stewart, to secure the coveted Primetime Emmy award.
