Trevor Noah is set to host the 2025 Grammy Awards, making him the first comedian to host the show five times. The Recording Academy announced the news on January 21. The ceremony will take place on February 2nd.
This will be Trevor’s fifth consecutive year as the host of the Grammys. He has been the face of the event since 2021, bringing his humour to the stage. This year, he will also take on the role of producer for the ceremony, adding another layer to his involvement.
In addition to hosting, Trevor is also nominated for a Grammy this year. He is up for the award for Best Comedy Album for his work titled “Where Was I.” He was nominated last year for I Wish You Would and received his first Grammy nod five years ago for Son of Patricia. Although he didn’t host the show that year, he quickly became the go-to host starting the following year.

The 2025 Grammy Awards will also serve a special purpose. The Recording Academy and MusiCares are launching the LA Fire Relief Effort, aiming to help individuals and families in the music industry who have been affected by the recent disasters. They plan to donate $1 million (R18 473 300.00) to provide immediate relief.
The show will be produced by Fulwell 73 Productions, the same team behind the Grammys for the past five years. Trevor Noah is well known for his time hosting The Daily Show on Comedy Central from 2015 to 2022. He won an Emmy Award in 2017 for hosting a special of behind-the-scenes edition of the show.
