Fumani Maluleke, an artist born in Limpopo, South Africa, has captured his culture in a captivating way with his latest exhibition titled “Tsalwa Ierintswa.” This exhibition showcases Maluleke’s exceptional talent for creating stunning artworks on traditional grass mats, which hold a special significance in his tribe.
Inspired by his own birth story, where he was born on a grass mat before reaching the hospital, Fumani infuses his artworks with themes of tradition, heritage and the interconnectedness of past, present and future.
