He has been nominated for Best Actor, Best Male TV Personality, Best TV Presenter, and Celebrity Personality of the Year. The National Film Academy, known for organizing prestigious awards in the UK and the USA, brought the National Film & TV Awards to South Africa last year. With 26 years of experience and over 7.5 million members worldwide, the Academy aims to shine a light on South African talent.
Sara Kensington, the global partnerships director at the National Film Academy, expressed excitement about the awards. She said, “The 2024 edition promises a grand celebration of South African excellence,” emphasizing the importance of showcasing local talent on a global stage. She believes that South African film and television reflect the country’s rich culture and stories.
This year’s awards ceremony will take place at the Opera Theatre in Pretoria on November 9. The event has already received more than 1.7 million public submissions, showcasing the many talents from South Africa.
