Artist services, A&R and music music distribution company Platoon’s roster of artists rack up an impressive 28 South African Music Awards nominations
Platoon’s roster of artists are set to shine at this year’s South African Music Awards, taking place at Sun City on Sunday 28 August, with a number nominated Platoon artists across of the artist services label’s releases and work produced over the last year.
Platoon is an artist services, A&R, and music distribution company. The London-headquartered firm, with bases in the US and South Africa, was co-founded by Denzyl Feigelson and Saul Klein in 2016, and artists that Platoon has worked with since then have included Jorja Smith, Billie Eilish, Rex OC, Stefflon Don, and YEBBA. More recently the company has worked with the likes of Victoria Monét, Holly Humberstone, Sagun, Adekunle Gold, Ayra Starr, Msaki, Sun-El Musician, A-Reece, Emtee and many more!

Leading the pack of Platoon’s nominated artists is Grammy Award Winning artist Msaki (featured on Black Coffee’s Subconsciously album), who’s double-dropped November 2021 albums Platinumb Heart Beating and Platinumb Heart Open secured her nominations across five categories: Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration and Best Adult Contemporary Album.
Loyal supporters are encouraged to vote for their favourite artists in the Artist of the Year and Female Artist of the Year categories, which feature Platoon artists Msaki, A-Reece and Emtee.
