The term “matriarch” symbolizes strength, wisdom, and leadership, and throughout the exhibition, the artworks by these women reflect themes of self-awareness, the fusion of ancient and modern influences, abstract storytelling, and the celebration of individuality.
Each artist will be bringing in a perspective and style to the table, pushing the boundaries of creative expression and inspiring viewers to connect with their inner selves.
Yoko Ngube, the manager at Windsor Gallery Lagos, emphasizes the importance of recognizing the pivotal roles that women play in shaping the art world and invites art lovers and the public to join the gallery in paying tribute to these visionary artists.
